Before these laws were been commenced, a reason first thought of. For one of the reasons, the Germans had wanted to protect their race (“The Nuremberg Laws: Background and Overview”). This meaning, keeping the German race with Aryan blood only, which would be the purpose of the the Protection of German Blood and German Honor law. For the Nazis, the purity of blood is very important (Trueman). This would relate to them wanting to keeping the Aryans a pure race and keeping the Jews to Jews only. Another reason is that Nazis had wanted to know “how much” of a Jew someone was, as in the Reich Citizenship Law. In the Nuremberg Laws article, it’s stated that, “According to the Reich Citizenship Law and many clarifying decrees on its implementation, only people of ‘German or kindred blood’ could be citizens of Germany” (“Nuremberg Laws”). This meant that Jews weren't allowed a German citizenship, since they weren't thought of as "kindred blood".
